Our centres deliver a world-class service, focussed clearly on the needs of patients. We use a broad range of the latest scanning equipment, expertly operated and maintained and offering fast, accurate imaging.

We offer these imaging modalities:

  • MRI and Cardiac MRI - the preferred investigation choice for many clinical indications and applicable to all areas of the body.
  • CT - gives fast and unambiguous diagnosis of a variety of conditions.
  • PET/CT - combining these two techniques gives images illustrating active pathology and anatomical location of astonishing clarity.
  • X-ray - our expert Radiographers provide professional X-ray services within Alliance Medical.
  • Ultrasound - with consistent technological improvements, this modality is now used throughout the body for imaging almost every soft tissue area.
  • Obstetric and maternal foetal ultrasound - exciting technological advances allows real-time 3-D and 4-D views
  • Bone densitometry or DEXA - with short scanning times and low X-ray doses, this sensitive equipment can help identify risk of osteoporosis earlier than ever before.
  • Fluoroscopy - this method of scanning reduces the patient’s radiation dose and allows areas of the body to be examined in all directions. This is currently used in conjunction with MRI for MR Arthrography.
