Ultrasound scanning is a well-established method of checking on the progress of foetal development. 3D and 4D scans are undertaken in Alliance Medical.
Scans are used at various stages in the baby’s development to check for a variety of complications.
Foetal ultrasound scans use standard ultrasound techniques, in which images are generated using high frequency sound waves. The sonographer moves a small hand-held sensor over your skin and the images are displayed on a screen.
