Every imaging examination with Alliance Medical requires a referral from a physician or healthcare provider.
Appointments can be scheduled online via our website, through our app, by email, or through a referral submitted by your healthcare provider. Our staff will help you find a convenient time and location.
Preparation requirements depend on the type of scan. Some procedures may require fasting, drinking water beforehand, or avoiding certain medications. Specific instructions will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
Appointment times vary depending on the examination. Most procedures take between 15 and 60 minutes, although some advanced imaging studies may take longer.
Diagnostic imaging procedures are generally very safe. Some exams, such as X-ray, CT or PET-CT, use low levels of radiation, while MRI and Ultrasound do not use ionizing radiation. Our team follows strict safety protocols to ensure patient safety.
Results are typically reviewed by a local Consultant Radiologist and sent to your referring healthcare provider within 24–72 hours. Urgent findings are communicated promptly.
Many imaging procedures are covered by health insurance plans. Coverage varies by provider and policy, so we recommend checking with your insurer prior to your appointment.
