Sustainability at Alliance Medical

Alliance Medical Diagnostic Imaging is the leading national provider of diagnostic imaging services in Ireland, operating across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. In January 2024, iCON Infrastructure LLP (iCON) completed the acquisition of the Alliance Medical Group (AMG, including AMDI). iCON is an experienced investor in healthcare and their acquisition of AMG underpins their commitment to a socially responsible investment portfolio.

We acknowledge that climate change is a serious threat and that we all have an important role to play in achieving a net zero future. This can only be achieved by taking meaningful action.

We are committed to:

• introducing environmental initiatives that reduce the impact of our operations upon the environment – both at work and at home
• actively including ‘carbon footprint’ in the evaluation process for the purchase of all major equipment
• encouraging the use of more sustainable and ethical products and resources and engaging and influencing our external stakeholders and supply chain to do the same and
• reducing Green House Gas Emissions through the more efficient use of electricity, fuel and heat by, where possible, increasing the proportion of renewable energy used within the business

We have introduced several carbon reduction initiatives into our business to reduce our Green House Gas Emissions, these include:

• the introduction of electric and hybrid vehicles into our motor fleet
• committing to a service provider that utilises 100% renewable energy for our directly controllable sites
• convening an environmental sustainability working committee to raise awareness amongst our staff of their role, both at work and at home
• development of a coordinated sustainability campaign which will aim for tangible, positive contributions to managing our impact on the environment
